Sullivan Fortner Brings a Rare Solo Piano Concert to Baruch PAC December 12.
Mark your calendars for a standout night in NoMad, New York’s jazz calendar. On December 12, the Baruch Performing Arts Center (BPAC) – a NoMad Jazz Festival 2026 Partner – presents a Milt Hinton Jazz Perspectives concert featuring Sullivan Fortner, one of the most acclaimed pianists of his generation.

A 2026 Grammy Nominee, two-time Grammy Award-winner, and 2026 Bell Jazz Artist Award recipient, Fortner returns to Manhattan for a rare solo piano performance. Playing solo or leading an orchestra, Fortner engages harmony and rhythmic ideas through curiosity and clarity and The New York Times said, “His fundamentals as a player could hardly be stronger.” Fortner’s artistry preserves the tradition and evolves the sound. He seeks connections among different musical styles that are at once deeply soulful and wildly inventive.
All seats are just $35 (or $20 with a CUNY ID), making this one of the best cultural values in the city.
