George Papageorge Trio

Organist, pianist, and keyboardist George Papageorge is known for a soulful style that bridges jazz, blues, funk, and soul. Originally from Boston, he moved to New York City in the late 1990s and has become a sought-after performer, drawing inspiration from Hammond B-3 legends Jimmy Smith and Charles Earland while developing his own groove-driven sound.

Papageorge has performed, toured, and recorded with acclaimed artists including Grammy-nominated soul singer Mighty Sam McClain, contributing both as a keyboardist and co-writer, and guitarist Melvin Sparks, helping to carry forward the classic organ trio tradition. Papageorge has led his own trio at renowned New York venues including the 55 Bar and Smalls Jazz Club.

He has appeared on more than 25 recordings spanning jazz, blues, funk, and soul, including albums by Mighty Sam McClain, Melvin Sparks, Floyd Lee, and numerous collaborative projects.
